Lake Garda

Tour of Garda Lake

Duration: 3 days - Start and finish in Peschiera del Garda- L= 156km, D = 1090m

A fantastic ring that develops along the entire perimeter of Lake Garda. The length, which exceeds 150 kilometers which can be covered in three days, makes this itinerary suitable for everyone.

Another "classic" for all Alto Garda enthusiasts who want to take advantage of the mild climate of the lake in winter. This route allows you to circumnavigate the largest lake in Italy, and to discover it in all its aspects.

From a technical point of view, the ride doesn't have any major bumps. However the path is very undulating. Above all, on the way back there are several galleries, sometimes very long. The loop can be completed in both directions; however, it is recommended to leave in the morning, when the Pelèr blows towards the south in our favour.

Day 1
Peschiera del Garda - Maderno

The departure of the journey begins with the meeting point in Peschiera del Garda, which can be easily reached by train having the stop at the railway station close to the centre.
The route develops mainly on the cycle path that runs along the entire west bank and the first mandatory stop is Sirmione with visit to its enchanting castle and historic center and the sequel is a succession of bathing areas and views of typical villas that brighten the view up to Salò where the famous suspended cycle path begins shortly after, breathtaking and which gives a spectacular visual sensation on everything the lake.
The first stage ends in Maderno with a visit to the historic center and an aperitif along the lake at sunset.

L = 53 km, D  = 320 m

Day 2
Maderno - Malcesine

The second day takes us through Campione and the magnificent town of Limone with its terraces planted with lemon trees that make it famous. Finally it crosses into Trentino reaching Riva del Garda where you cannot miss a stop at the northernmost point of the lake which offers an integral view up to the opposite south coast.

L = 55 km, D  = 420 m

Day 3
Malcesine - Peschiera del Garda

The whole eastern part of the lake differs considerably from the opposite shore, the cycle path is often alternated with the obligation to travel on the road and travel through tunnels which give each of them the thrill of a new spectacular view at the exit.
The return is foreseen in Peschiera del Garda passing the fantastic towns overlooking the lake, Malcesine, Bardolino and Lazise with their fascinating historic centers rich in history and frequented by VIPs and tourists.

L = 48 km, D  = 360 m
